John Topits ParkQuiet, natural beauty.

John Topits Park, in the northwestern section of Coos Bay, is a 120 acre natural area encompassing the Empire Lakes and protected coastal dune and forest land. No gas-powered boats are permitted on the lakes, making it a popular place for canoes and kayaks. The park includes a children's play area and 5.5 miles of pedestrian and cycling trails. The Empire Lakes are home to a variety of waterfowl, birds, and many kinds of fish, including bass, bluegill, perch, and catfish.
